This beautifully distressed plaque is painted on 1/4” thick Birch Wood. The wood is covered in a thin coat of white paint before the hand painted toile-like background is applied. The large scale initial is painted in a distressed style so that the toile pattern shows through. The plaque is hung by a coordinating ribbon that is threaded through 6 drilled holes. Two white tassels hang at the end of the ribbons to accentuate the sophistication of this piece. There is a distressing step at the end to give it that final shabby chic appearance.
